Nuviderm Tattoo Removal

As everyone knows, this is a blog about tattoo removal, specifically about the use of Nuviderm to remove a tattoo at a reasonable cost with a high degree of success – if you follow instructions –  instead of  using laser tattoo removal. In the course of every day we talk to people about their tattoos and sometimes we speak with tattoo artists about various matters related to tattoo application and removal.

Recently we spoke with Mary and Gabe who run Tattoonow in Easthampton, Massachusetts. They run  Tattoonow as a tattoo shop, but they also have a website, Tattoonow.com where they display their work  and the work of other tattoo artists and they have some of the finest artwork we’ve ever seen. They have formed associations with some of the finest tattoo artists in the world.

One thing we liked about the way they operate is from time to time they will bring in a laser tattoo removal technician with a machine so their customers can remove a piece they no longer like for a replacement piece or cover up. Some people just want to “clean the canvas” in a particular location with out replacing what was there.

We like the way they operate and the integrity of  their beliefs and the way they run their website and other tattoo related endeavors which include hosting tattoo conventions or gatherings where they provide seminars, workshops, discussion panels and, of course, custom tattooing.

Responsible tattoo education is the aim of the gatherings.

They’re last one, the Paradise Tattoo Gathering ran  Sept 17 – 20 in Hancock, Massachusetts .

When considering getting a tattoo always remember:

  • Make sure you like the design
  • Tattoo pigment is “permanent” and very difficult to remove
  • Check out your artists’ resume to make sure the skills are there
  • Make sure the tattoo shop is clean and proper protocols are followed

If you get tired of your tattoo and want to remove it you should:

  • Use laser if you can afford the cost
  • Make sure the laser clinic has state of the art equipment that can remove the pigment colors of your tattoo in a reasonable number of sessions
  • Use Nuviderm tattoo removal if you can’t afford laser
  • Read and follow instructions for a successful tattoo removal

Nuviderm reviews says checkout Tattoonow.com for great body art and for effective, affordable tattoo removal use Nuviderm.

Nuviderm works.

The Season for Tattoo Removal

November 24, 2009
Tattoo Removal Season

Tattoo Removal Season

Historically, tattoo removal has been a seasonal activity. Every year as the weather begins to warm people who have been contemplating tattoo removal begin the process in the spring and summer months. Why anyone would want to begin such a process when they are more likely to be wearing less clothing and possibly exposing the tattoo removal site for everyone to see is hard to understand. It must be a lack of planning.

If you have decided to remove a tattoo the best time to start is in the fall when temperatures begin to drop to more comfortable levels. Comfort should be one of the main considerations when starting a tattoo removal because tattoo removers that actually work will involve some discomfort, there is no way around it.

Here’s why…

After about 60 days the tattoo pigment used to create your tattoo has been effectively trapped by a network of connective tissue in the fibroblasts, a type of cell found in connective tissue that produces fibers such as collagen.  Fibroblasts are thought to  last the lifespan of the individual receiving the tattoo and that is what makes tattoos permanent. The tattoo pigment is so tightly bound to the connective tissues of the dermis (second layer of skin) that they could be considered a pigmented tissue graft much like a skin graft for a burn victim or an artery graft for a heart bypass patient. Man made, but permanent, and very difficult to reverse.

The only methods proven to remove tattoo pigment are Laser, IPL (intense pulsed light), Rejuvi, Cold Steel Surgery, Dermabrasion, Salabrasion and TCA. Laser, IPL, Cold Steel Surgery and Rejuvi are very expensive and painful. Dermabrasion and salabrasion involve the use of a grit (salt in the case of salabrasion) to sand or grind down the tissue holding the tattoo, a somewhat barbaric and painful experience. TCA tattoo removal gradually peels down to and removes tattoo ink over a period of months. Properly used, tca tattoo removal is virtually painless and leaves only  minor changes in skin pigment, especially in light skinned people. The darker the skin the greater the chance of hypopigmentation which is a lightening of skin color at the treated area. Scarring can occur when used at very high strengths, but scarring can and does occur with Laser, IPL and Surgery. An unfortunate fact of tattoo removal is that all effective tattoo removal methods carry with them the risk of scarring.

Tattoo removal creams have become popular because they promise no discomfort and no scarring, but they are a joke and a ripoff and companies that sell such concoctions should be considered the modern day version of the  “Snake Oil Salesmen” of the 1800’s when con men sold “Tonics” to cure every common ailment of the day. These creams are nothing but skin fade creams – they fade skin pigment which is located in the epidermis (top layer of skin) and cannot reach and would have no effect on tattoo pigment in the dermis (second layer of skin).

There is one so called tattoo removing “Balm” that is a combination of common makeup ingredients combined with skin pigment faders and grit used with a battery powered sander. It’s the sander and the grit in the cream that does the actual “removing”, but it would take years and thousands of dollars to sand down a tattoo with this product. You would be better off spending the money on laser.

Nuviderm TCA is the easy, effective and affordable alternative to laser tattoo removal and cooler weather is the perfect time to begin a tattoo removal. One ounce of Nuviderm concentrate has the ink removing power of up to $1000.00 or more of laser treatments. Nuviderm reviews and testimonials from past and current customers prove Nuviderm works. Backed by a 6 month guarantee, Nuviderm has a 93% satisfaction rate among those who have used it, to our knowledge, the highest success rate in the Do It Yourself tattoo removal industry.

Give Nuviderm a try , with our guarantee you have nothing to lose.

Nuviderm Reviews – Temporary Tattoos for Halloween

October 21, 2009
Temporary Halloween Tattoos

Temporary Halloween Tattoos

Temporary tattoos that are applied with water fade after a few days.  Usually, these are applied to children for fun  or adults who may want to try wearing a temporary tattoo before going for the real thing. Some can look quite real and can give a hint as to what reactions they will generate from  friends or family members.

Most contain cosmetically approved additives approved for use on the skin, but in the past, alerts have been issued for foreign made  temporary tattoos because they are not labeled with a mandated ingredient list. Also, past imports of henna products for skin use have been banned because of no mandated labels. Henna is approved for use as a hair dye and not as a skin dye for tattoos. Black and blue  henna are somewhat suspect since natural henna normally produces a reddish brown tint. These black “henna” tattoos contain p-phenylenediamine other wise known as coal tar and are unsafe for long term contact with skin, especially children.

Always make sure  any temporary tattoo given to your kids comes in a package printed with a list of ingredients. We don’t want something fun for the kids to be harmful.

As for the ingredients that go into making real tattoo pigment,  always ask the shop owner or artist giving you the tat what’s in the pigment. These days there is usually nothing to worry about, but it never hurts to be safe.

Nuviderm – Does It Work?

October 19, 2009
Nuviderm Tattoo Removal

Nuviderm Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal has come a long way in the last 10 years, there have been some advancements and there have been more than a few steps backwards.

The advances include greatly improved laser tattoo removal techniques, IPL, tattoo displacement products such as Rejuvi and refinement in the use of TCA products like Nuviderm.

Backward steps include the so called tattoo removal creams or gels that do nothing but fade skin pigment and what I would refer to lateral moves, not forward and not backward. Those would include the products that combine tattoo removal creams with exfoliation. The exfoliation is an improvement on just rubbing a skin fade cream onto your skin but  exfoliation isn’t the most efficient way to remove a tattoo. I would compare it to ocean waves pounding into the shear rock cliffs of some island in the Pacific Ocean. Eventually that rock will be worn down to sand and create a nice sandy beach, but who has time to wait for that to happen?.

When TCA was first medically tested as a possible method of tattoo removal the techniques the Doctors used were not nearly as refined as current techniques. Over the past few years the satisfaction rate for TCA has risen to about 93% of all users. That’s not perfect , but it does prove there is an in home tattoo removal product that is being used successfully every day by people just like you. One ounce of Nuviderm has the tattoo removal power of $750 – $1,000 worth of laser treatments. In times like these that’s a significant cost savings. Plus, Nuviderm is guaranteed…but not all laser removal clinics guarantee their work.

Nuviderm works, it’s guaranteed and it puts you in control of your tattoo removal process. What more could you want?

Tattoo Removal Options – IPL

October 13, 2009
IPL can also be used for Tattoo Removal

IPL can also be used for Tattoo Removal

Although tattoo removal is not high on the list of researchers looking for ways to improve the human condition, there are at least three high tech methods of tattoo removal including Laser, Skin Seeding and IPL.

Pioneered by Dr. Patrick Bitter, IPL tattoo removal is becoming a popular method of tattoo removal among Dermatologists and skin care professionals. IPL emits high intensity light pulses (not lasers) to penetrate the skin and do away with tattoo pigment. As a result of this process there may be some scarring involved along with dark or light spots on the skin depending on the skin color of the patient. In many cases the light or dark spots fade with time.

IPL therapy is not the same as laser therapy. IPL sends short bursts of intense light through a prism into the skin and causes the tattoo pigment to break up and be absorbed by the body. It is said the farther from the heart the tattoo is the longer the healing process when using IPL to remove a tattoo.
Light skinned people of European descent with dry, non-oily skin make the best candidates for ipl. Dark skinned nationalities have a higher chance of hypopigmentation of the treated area.

The average professional tattoo requires 5 or more treatments with dark pigmented tattoo requiring the most number of treatments. The treated area swells and turns a pale color immediately following treatment, but the swelling subsides quickly followed by blistering and scab formation. Skin tones return to normal after about two weeks and the treated area should be protected from the suns’ rays for six weeks following the treatment.

Overall IPL is very safe with less than a 2% chance of scarring or pigmentation change.

IPL is new and has yet to reach its full potential.  If high tech methods are to expensive for you at this time Nuviderm offers an effective and affordable method of tattoo removal as evidenced by this testimonial:

November 8, 2008
Hi,
Just wanted to drop a line to let the staff know that I’m into my 4th or 5th treatment on all five of my small tattoos, and Nuviderm is working great! I could not be happier. I regret ALL of my ugly lapses of judgment and thought I would have to spend thousands on laser removal. Obviously, not true. One of the ones on my chest is almost completely gone, and the others have significantly faded or broken apart thanks to Nuviderm. Thank you sooo very much, I am a complete believer!!! Regret getting my tattoos, but do not regret taking a chance with your Nuviderm tattoo removal system.

Try Nuviderm, it works.

Nuviderm Home Tattoo Removal – The Correct Method

September 29, 2009

Follow instructions for proper results- for tanning beds and tattoo removal

Follow instructions for proper results- for tanning beds and tattoo removal

OK. You’ve done your homework and you’ve reached the conclusion that Nuviderm is the right product for your tattoo removal.

You place your order, wait 4 or 5  days, and it arrives.  You tear open the package, read the instructions, and begin your treatment.

You wake up the next morning and, hey wait a minute, that tattoo is still there!?!

First thing you should do is sit down and re-read the instructions.

OK, it takes anywhere up to 8 – 12 or more treatment sessions to fade or remove your tattoo. You calm down and continue your treatment program.

That brings us to the photo of the tanning bed.

If used improperly the UV rays emitted by a simple tanning bed can have the same detrimental effects on your skin as real sunlight.  Sporadic use will not have the desired effect and to frequent use can be harsh to the skin. The same is true with Nuviderm.

It often requires 8 to 12 or even 14 treatments for large tattoos before the ink is gone or radically faded. Read the instructions. Do people really believe that a deeply embedded tattoo will just disappear without any effort? After all it was meant to be PERMANENT which would indicate that it will not be easy to remove.

Or you could change to a tattoo cream, pay hundreds more and never rid yourself of that tattoo.

Now you’ve gone through 5 or 6 treatments and you’re not satisfied for some reason. Out of luck? Nope!

We believe so much in Nuviderm that we offer a 6 month Money-Back Guarantee. You can read about it right here.

We’re serious about tattoo removal and we know you are too. As professional tattoo removal specialists, we’re thoroughly familiar with all of today’s options. We offer Nuviderm because we know it works.

Nuviderm isn’t perfect, but there are 2 alternatives to removal – very painful and much, much more expensive laser or easy to use, refreshing on the skin but basically worthless tattoo cream. We give you an effective compromise between the two.

The choice is yours…choose wisely.

But don’t take my word for it. Find out for yourself, risk free. Order today.

Nuviderm Tattoo Removal

September 23, 2009
Tattoo removal - no reason to smile

Tattoo removal - no reason to smile

Removing a tattoo is serious business and Nuviderm is a serious tattoo removal product. Most people do not know the difficulty and determination required to rid themselves of deeply deposited tattoo pigment that can be made from plastic, vegetable coloring or mineral salts.

The fact that the ink settles in the skin at a depth approximately equal to the thickness of a nickel and becomes more deeply lodged as years pass makes the removal what it is, a large pain in the ass. Deep enough to be difficult, yet shallow enough to make it appear close enough to the surface so that it can be removed with relative ease and lack of discomfort. Unfortunately there is no way to remove a tattoo without a bit of determination and discomfort.

But con artists exist, as they always have, and they will say anything to make money.

Some tattoo removal products promise that simply by rubbing a cream or gel on the tattoo once or twice a day for several months you can easily fade or remove the ink as long as you pay them $75 to $100 per month for the duration of the treatment. Any such claims are, frankly, BS. If these companies could produce such results they would have medical studies backing up their claims,  and believe me you would know about them, but there are no such medical studies because these products do not do anything but enrich the companies promoting these products. They fade skin pigment and nothing else – not tattoo pigment.

Removal creams will not remove the ink because they don’t and can’t penetrate deep enough AND skin pigment fade products, which is their primary ingredient,  are totally ineffective on tattoo pigment. Something that can fade a freckle will have ZERO effect on plastic, vegetable coloring or metal salts…it ain’t gonna happen. Let common sense be your guide…if it sounds to good, to easy, then it probably isn’t true.

To remove a tattoo requires either a laser, ipl (intense pulsed light), dermabrasion, salabrasion, surgery, Rejuvi or similar tattoo injected material, or a TCA based product like Nuviderm.

In our opinion Nuviderm is the best option if you can’t afford laser.

Nuviderm Fade and Tattoo Removal : Lesson 1

September 15, 2009
Nuviderm Fade and Tattoo Removal says do your homework

Nuviderm Fade and Tattoo Removal says do your homework

We are always getting mail from people asking questions about Nuviderm tattoo removal – specific questions about the removal process, advice on use of Nuviderm during pregnancy, while breast feeding, best time to begin a removal, or the minimum age of a tattoo before using Nuviderm tattoo remover.
This morning we received a question about removing natural skin pigment forming a birthmark and using Nuviderm to remove it.

Here is the question:

Hello,

I have a birthmark on which I have already tried laser in an attempt at removal. Will Nuviderm work on my birthmark?

Thank you,
Mary

……………..

Answer:

Mary,

TCA, the active ingredient in Nuviderm is used every day by Cosmetic Surgeons and Dermatologists to remove fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, remove or reduce acne scars and some birth marks. Since we don’t know the specifics of your birthmark pigmentation we suggest you contact a Dermatologist for professional advice on using TCA for your specific situation.
There may be a skin fade cream that might help. Fade creams inhibit or stop melanin production and may work for you in this instance. Fade creams have their place, but as tattoo removal agents they do not and cannot reach the dermis layer of skin where the tattoo pigment resides. This is something else you may consult a Physician about.

Nuviderm Customer Service

…………….

The reasons for blogging about this are:

1). We always give straight, no B.S. answers to our customers or potential customers. Most of our competitors would not have responded and the remainder would have tried to make a sale without knowing all the facts about the birthmark. We make referrals all the time when we think there might be a better way or if more information is required to make an informed decision.

2). We suggested that possibly a skin fade cream might work, but to also consult with her physician about this before proceeding because of the many different types of birthmarks. Some would be unaffected by melanin inhibiting chemicals used in skin fade creams just as tattoo pigment us unaffected by skin fade creams claiming to be tattoo removal creams.

When researching tattoo removal don’t fall for all the hype on the internet about all the different products available.  Laser works, IPL works, Nuviderm works and is the affordable, effective alternative to laser. Dermabrasion  and  Salabrasion also work but are very slow, painful and will definitely leave a scar. So called tattoo removal creams and gels DO NOT WORK! They fade skin pigment, not tattoo pigment.

For cost effective results backed by a 6 month guarantee use Nuviderm. It is the only Doctor tested and approved Home Tattoo Removal product on the market.

Try Nuviderm, it works.

Nuviderm Reviews – Radio Frequency Identification Tattoo Ink

September 11, 2009
A tattoo removal necessity - tattoo ink capable of radio transmission

A tattoo removal necessity - tattoo ink capable of radio transmission

While we’ve all been sleeping, Big Brother, also known as Somark Innovations has developed a biocompatible tattoo ink capable of Radio Frequency transmissions. Currently this new ink is capable of transmitting limited amounts of information up to 4 feet away. The ink is invisible or colored, doesn’t contain any metals, is chemically inert and 100% biocompatible. It is not known if this product can be removed using standard tattoo removal practices such as laser tattoo removal or Nuviderm tattoo removal.

The process involves a geometric array of micro-needles and reusable applicator with a one time use capsule. It takes about 10 seconds to apply to the dermis, or second layer of skin, where it will reside for the life of the individual human or animal.

Currently, it is being marketed for use on farm animals to be used instead of branding or ear tagging and can track the animal as it moves through the food chain to your grill making it easier to backtrack cases of mad cow disease or identify stolen cattle. It will also be available for pets so they can be more easily reunited with their owners should they become lost and picked up by the local pound or animal rescue group.

It is currently being considered for military personnel because as the technology develops and the tracking distance increases the ink could be used to track and rescue combat troops. It could help identify friends or foes, prevent friendly fire mishaps and help save soldiers lives.

Big Brother will love this stuff.

I can just see local, state and federal governments getting their hands on a more  fully developed version of this radio transmitting tattoo ink at some time in the future when the transmission distance  has increased to, oh, let’s say a mile or more. Future generations might be tattooed at birth and  tracked by the powers that be until the day they die. Wives could track husbands and parents could track their teenage kids whenever they wanted.

Just in case that happens you need to buy a few bottles of  Nuviderm tattoo removal now to pass down to your grand kids. They’ll appreciate it and so will we.  ; )

Nuviderm works!
